Large NBA arena filled with spectators as a big screen shows a man saluting; headline reads 'President Donald Trump Attends Knicks / Spurs Game 3' at center court.

NEW YORK, June 9 (DC Times Online) — President Donald Trump drew a mixed crowd reaction when he appeared on the Madison Square Garden big screen during Game 3 of the NBA Finals in New York City, Fox News reported.

Trump attended the June 8 game between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs, according to Fox News. A Getty Images photo by Samuel Corum also placed Trump at the start of Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

The president was shown during the national anthem, with his granddaughter Kai Trump on one side and Knicks owner James Dolan on the other, Fox News reported.

The reaction inside the arena was mixed, with some cheers and boos that were louder, according to Fox News. Trump saluted from his suite while he was on the screen.

Fox News reported that the response was different from the one Trump received earlier at the College Football Playoff national championship game at Hard Rock Stadium, where the crowd cheered when he appeared on the stadium video board during the anthem.

The supplied source material did not include an NBA box score, final score, series standing, team statement, league statement or postgame comments from players or coaches for Game 3.
