BALTIMORE, June 29 (DC Times Online) — Video from the Maryland Democratic Party’s Fight Back & Win Gala near Baltimore showed former President Joe Biden pausing onstage after a roughly 10-minute keynote Saturday, looking toward the wings and pointing in two directions before he exited.

The footage showed Biden leaving the stage differently from several other speakers at the event, according to the video reviewed in Fox News’s report.

The Maryland appearance echoed an earlier moment at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, where footage showed Biden remaining onstage after others had left. In that video, he appeared to ask, “Where’s my granddaughter?” before Jill Biden returned to the stage, took his hand and guided him off.

The Maryland Democratic Party organized the gala. The reports did not include a transcript of Biden’s remarks or any statement from the party about the stage exit.

Biden has continued to appear at Democratic Party events since leaving office, including the Maryland gala and the Chicago ceremony tied to the Obama Presidential Center opening.
