VICTORVILLE, Calif., July 17 (High Desert News Online) — Costco food courts in several California stores have added chicken strips to the menu, with workers and menu signs showing a $6.99 order of five strips with sauce.

Workers at stores in Alhambra, Los Feliz and Bakersfield said the item showed up on July 11. A Santa Rosa worker said it arrived July 6, and a Concord worker said it had been available for “a few days” by July 15.

Menu signs cited in the reports list 1,130 to 1,640 calories for the order. At some California locations, the chicken strips appear to have replaced the calzone.

In Victorville, the item was reported at the Costco food court at 14555 Valley Center Drive, where it was described as crispy chicken strips with sauce at the same $6.99 price. The timing varied by store, suggesting a staggered rollout across the state.
