CALHOUN COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, June 20 (Infinite Headlines) — The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said it arrested six people after a June 6 brawl at the 601 Sand Bar on the Congaree River in South Carolina, where deputies said more than 20 people were involved and at least three were injured.

Sheriff Thomas Summers said the fight broke out during the annual Sparkleberry Duck Run. The office said the arrests are tied to various assault and breach-of-peace charges.

The sheriff’s office identified the arrested suspects as Brendan Bonds, Hunter Dalzell, Lucas Scott, Edward Scott, Austin Mizzell and Taylor Knudson.

Authorities said injuries ranged from swollen eyes to head injuries. Summers said alcohol was a factor, and deputies found numerous cases of underage drinking.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation remains active and that more arrests are expected as detectives continue reviewing video and public submissions.
