Neil CavutoNEW YORK, NEW YORK (Times Media Service) – Neil Cavuto, a prominent figure at Fox News since its inception in 1996, has announced his departure from the network after a distinguished 28-year career. Cavuto, 66, declined a contract renewal offer and hosted his final episode of “Your World with Neil Cavuto” on December 19, 2024.

Throughout his tenure, Cavuto was instrumental in shaping Fox News’s business coverage. He hosted multiple programs, including “Your World with Neil Cavuto,” “Cavuto Live” on Fox News, and “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” on Fox Business Network. Cavuto’s journalism career began before his time at Fox News. He was a principal anchor and reporter for CNBC, co-anchoring its initial broadcast in 1989 and hosting “Power Lunch.” He also contributed to NBC’s “Today” and reported for PBS’s “Nightly Business Report.”

In his farewell address, Cavuto expressed gratitude to his colleagues and viewers, stating, “I got to do what I love to do—report the news. Fox News lauded Cavuto’s contributions, describing his career as “a master class in journalism” and noting that his programs “have defined business news and set the standard for the entire industry.”
