BOSTON, June 28 (Nationwide Times) — Travelers near the Charles River in Cambridge, Massachusetts, faced a major emergency response Saturday after a duck boat overturned near a boat ramp, injuring at least six people, authorities said.

Cambridge police said some of the injuries were minor and two were more serious. Boston EMS later said 11 people were injured, including one serious injury, reflecting different early counts as crews assessed passengers at the scene.

Cambridge Police Department spokesperson Bob Reardon said 32 people were aboard when the tour boat turned on its side shortly after 3 p.m. near Museum Way and Education Street.

Cambridge Fire officials said everyone aboard was accounted for and that no passengers ended up in the water.

Massachusetts State Police said it would lead the investigation. State police said the cause was not immediately clear.
