DETROIT, June 22 (Our Michigan Times) — Chevrolet has unveiled the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the “most powerful Silverado ever” and saying the truck will arrive later this year with new V8 engines and a redesigned digital cabin.

The company said the pickup will offer next-generation 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines, along with an enhanced 2.7-liter TurboMax and the class-exclusive Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel. Chevrolet said the new 5.7-liter engine gives the Silverado the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class, but it did not release horsepower or torque figures in the announcement.

Chevrolet said the 2027 Silverado 1500 will be offered in seven models: ZR2, High Country, Trail Boss, Silverado, Custom Trail Boss, Custom and WT.

Inside, Chevrolet said every version will come with a digital cockpit that includes a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information center. ZR2 and High Country trims will add an 11.5-inch front passenger screen, along with a heads-up display and rear camera mirror.

The company said the truck is expected to go on sale later this year and that pricing will be announced later this year.
