CRESTLINE, Calif., July 24 (Inland Empire News Online) — A black bear pushed open the front door of the Crestline Village Water District office in Crestline on Wednesday afternoon, wandered through the lobby and briefly into the office area, and left without injuring anyone or causing damage, according to surveillance video and staff accounts.

The district video shows the bear standing on its hind legs to open the door at about 12:15 p.m. Staff said it stayed in the lobby for about two minutes before moving into the main office area for only a few seconds.

Employees said no customers were in the building at the time and no one was in danger. Staff also reported nose prints on the office doors, but no property damage.

Workers watched the bear leave calmly and head back toward the woods, according to the district footage and employee accounts. The incident took place at the water district office in the San Bernardino Mountains, in San Bernardino County.
