SYRACUSE, N.Y., July 7 (Our Albany) — Governor Kathy Hochul said admission tickets and parking vouchers for the 2026 Great New York State Fair will go on sale Tuesday, July 7, at 9 a.m.

The fair, held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, is one of the state’s largest summer events and draws visitors for concerts, agricultural exhibits, live demonstrations and other attractions across its grounds.

What is being sold?

The fair is selling single-day admission tickets, a Frequent Fairgoer pass and parking vouchers.

A standard admission ticket costs $8. The fair says that ticket covers access to the fairgrounds, including entertainment, agricultural exhibits, live demonstrations and the Chevrolet Music Series.

The Frequent Fairgoer option costs $25 and is meant for people planning multiple visits during the fair’s 13-day run. According to the fair, it allows one entry per day, is non-transferable and is sold only online.

Parking vouchers cost $12.

Who gets in free?

The fair says admission is free for children age 12 and under and for seniors age 65 and older.

How much will it cost with fees?

The fair’s official admission page lists the total price, including fees, as $8.32 for a standard admission ticket, $25.70 for a Frequent Fairgoer pass and $12.41 per vehicle for parking vouchers.

How can tickets and parking be purchased?

The fair says tickets and parking can be bought online, by phone through Etix at 1-800-514-3849, and later in person at kiosks at the gates.

The fair’s official materials say the gate kiosks open when the fair begins on Wednesday, Aug. 26. Tickets and parking will also be available online before then.

When does the fair run?

The 2026 Great New York State Fair runs from Wednesday, Aug. 26, through Labor Day, Sept. 7.

The fair’s FAQ says its general daily hours are 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. It also says there is no entry or re-entry after 9 p.m. on most days, and after 8 p.m. on Labor Day.

What should visitors know about parking?

The fair says parking vouchers are for the fair’s public lots. Drivers must show the voucher electronically or in printed form, and EZPass Plus is not accepted for parking.

The fairgrounds are in Syracuse, adjacent to Route 690 West just off exit 12B, according to the official FAQ.

For families, seniors and frequent visitors, the fair’s pricing structure makes advance planning simple: admission is low-cost, parking is sold separately, and some visitors qualify for free entry.
